About Canobolas Eggs

A Legacy of Excellence Since 1955
Canobolas Eggs Pty Ltd is a family-owned and operated egg farm established in 1955 in Molong, in the Central West of NSW. Now in its third generation, the Peffer family has spent decades producing exceptional eggs with an unwavering commitment to quality.
Their results speak for themselves: Canobolas has been awarded the Sydney Royal Easter Show District Exhibit Egg Section 12 times since 2000 — a testament to their consistent dedication to some of the finest eggs in Australia.

Why Canobolas Eggs Taste Better
Canobolas practices true circular agriculture, growing and mixing their own grains to nourish their hens. Across more than 1,000 hectares, they cultivate wheat, barley and canola, then expertly blend these grains into customised, optimal feed for their flocks.
This sustainable farm-to-feed approach gives hens superior nutrition, which translates directly into eggs with exceptional taste and quality. It’s the secret behind why Canobolas eggs stand out from the rest.

Lower-Density Free-Range
While industry standards allow up to 10,000 hens per hectare, Canobolas maintains a maximum of just 1,500 hens per hectare at their free range facility. This ethical approach gives hens far more space to roam, forage naturally and express their natural behaviours on mixed grasslands — resulting in healthier, happier hens and superior quality eggs.
Industry-Leading Innovation & Research

In 2015, Manager Robert Peffer received a prestigious Nuffield Scholarship with the support of the Australian Egg Corporation. This initiative funded vital research into world-class production standards, ensuring Canobolas remains at the forefront of agricultural innovation and egg quality by applying global benchmarks for hen welfare and environmental sustainability.
